Go to HTTP Client to create oneAbout Health Checker
Repeatedly call an HTTP endpoint at a fixed interval and watch the status codes and response times. Useful for checking that a service comes back after a deploy, spotting intermittent errors, or observing latency over a few minutes.
It reuses requests saved in the HTTP Client, and runs in your browser — so it keeps running only while this page is open, and the endpoint must allow CORS.
How to use
- Create and save a request in the HTTP Client first.
- Select the request, set the interval in milliseconds and the maximum number of repeats (
0= unlimited). - Click
Start, and usePause,ResumeorStopto control the run.
FAQ
Does it keep running in the background?
Only while the page is open. Browsers also slow down timers in background tabs, so for reliable long-term monitoring use a server-side uptime monitor.
What interval should I use?
A few seconds is usually enough to watch a deploy or restart. Very short intervals can put unnecessary load on the server or trigger rate limits.
Why do all requests fail immediately?
Most often the endpoint does not allow cross-origin requests (CORS), or the URL is http:// while this page is served over HTTPS (mixed content).
