FAQ
Why can't I connect to a ws:// URL?
This page is served over HTTPS, and browsers block insecure ws:// connections from secure pages (mixed content). Use wss://, or connect to ws://localhost which browsers allow.
Can I set custom headers such as Authorization?
No. The browser WebSocket API does not allow custom headers. Servers usually accept a token in the URL query string or in the first message instead.
What do close codes mean?
1000 is a normal closure, 1001 means the endpoint is going away, and 1006 means the connection was lost without a close frame — often a network error or a server that rejected the connection.
